Submissions Open for Print Issue for Pride 2019

This year Outcast Magazine has pushed to bring you even more new and exciting opportunities to be published. So if you’re looking to be published in print on our debut pride edition then you need to know what Outcast wants.

Outcast looks for literary works that challenge the norm and break boundaries. We want thoughtful, inspiring and daring queer work.

Outcast publishes LGBTQ+ folk and anyone interested in queer literature and art. We enjoy cross-genre, intersectional, marginal and transgressive work.

About the issue

With each submission call Outcast aims to provide its writers and its readers a chance to explore new worlds and push their imagination further. This year we bring to you our debut Pride Edition which is going to be a print magazine set to be released for Pride 2019.

So what does Pride mean to you? We want to you write stories and poems you would want to read, works that touch your heart and soul. This issue gives our writers a chance to show us the depths of their creativity and surprise us with their writings.

What to Submit

Short Stories


1 original and unpublished story of upto 5000 words



Up to 5 poems, no limit on the word/line count based on the theme.



Up to 5 pieces on the theme, along with a caption for the piece.

How to Submit?

Send in your pieces at with the subject line Pride Issue – [Poetry/Prose/Artwork] along with a brief third person bio of the contributor.

Please ensure that all submissions are your own original and unpublished work.

Please ONLY submit your work in Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) documents attached with the email. We will NOT consider submissions sent in any other format. Please also include the submission title and author’s name in the filename.

We respect that some of our writers may not wish to share their works under their own names. In this case, we welcome you to submit your work under a pen name.
